I am a home care worker in WI, currently working 27 hrs per week, and getting paid $10 per houre, that's only half the national average. The client i work for is self directed care, but has a company who decides how much care she needs. Well when i am not there, her family does the rest of the work...which is a lot, my client pretty much needs 24/7 care. Their self directed care agency just cut the pay that the family was recieving for providing the extra care she recieves when i'm not there. Is it right of them to do that?? I feel bad for them, because their case worker called and let them know that they will no longer recieve payment today..Happy Christmas to them...poor family...wish i knew how i could look into if what they are doing is right or not!! Can anyone help me?
