Caregivers Needed! Brain Games Study to Track and IMPROVE the Mental Health of Caregivers
By bbrown on October 15, 2014 - 01:28 PM

Seeking caregivers for Brain Games Study to Track and Improve the Mental Health of Caregivers Mrs. Meryl Comer, president of the Geoffrey Beene Foundation Alzheimer’s Initiative and leading Alzheimer’s advocate has launched a Caregiver Health-eBrain Study, the first of its kind to characterize the brain health profile of caregivers. As I'm sure you are aware, those who devote themselves to the care of others tend to put their own needs and concerns last, often resulting in a decline in their health that could result in the inability to continue to provide proper care. Mrs. Comer and partners in this effort hope to shine a light on as many caregivers as possible, and encourage them to make a conscious effort to make sure their own wellness remains a priority. The first step in this effort is the launch of study, measured by Lumosity’s cognitive assessment, Brain Performance Test (BPT), in caregivers of patients with Alzheimer’s or other dementias compared with aggregate scores of the general population. JOIN THE STUDY HERE: Watch the video about the study here: j Our internal goals is to get 2500 caregivers to complete the survey in the first 4 weeks after launch. Feel free to contact me, Brittany Brown, at with any additional questions.
