Regaining Energy After Sepsis

by Lisa Brandt, Sepsis Expert
April 12, 2018

Question: How can one regain energy after sepsis?

Answer: This is a tough one. It took me many months to get my energy back and I'm not sure that it's as robust as it was before my illness. I would first ask your doctor to check things like your  iron level and get his or her advice on increasing energy. A proper diet and lots of rest make a difference. Please don't fall for the many unproven supplements on the market that claim to be able to restore your energy. They might work in the short term but you're better off consulting a medical professional for healthy, long-term solutions.
