John Mills Co-Founder and Chairman

John Mills, Co-founder and Chairman of, has over 20 years of experience in the health care industry having focused on health care policy, technology and insurance product development.  He brings a unique perspective to the issues of long term care and has helped design eCareDiary to cater to the unique needs of family caregivers.  John worked in health care technology having been a founding team member at MyHealthBank, a start-up company specializing in health care software and technology.  He also served as an executive at EmblemHealth, a health insurer serving the NY region, where he developed the first set of online tools to help members obtain health care information and manage their own health care, introduced new insurance products and managed the launch of a new corporate brand.  He spent close to a decade working on health care policy serving as Legislative Director to Congressman Eliot Engel of New York, a member of a key health care committee in the US House of Representatives, and in 1993 was a member of President Clinton’s Task Force on Health Care Reform.  John later worked on the Bi-Partisan Commission on Medicare Reform established by President Clinton in 1998.  John holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy with a specialization in Health Policy from Georgetown University in Washington, DC and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Union College in Schenectady, NY.

Susan Baida Co-Founder and President

Susan knows first-hand the challenges of caring for aging parents and family with serious illnesses. While working full time, she helped care for her father-in-law who suffered from Parkinson’s disease and faced the frustrations and stress that came with managing his care.  That experience was the inspiration behind eCareDiary, as a way to help family caregivers cope with the challenges of care coordination.  She is considered a sandwich generation caregiver as she coordinates care not only for her aging mother and father but also her three young children under the age of 6.  Her experiences as a family caregiver made her realize that there is great opportunity for better online resources, a supportive community and educational information. Prior to eCareDiary, she was Vice President of Marketing for Starwood Hotels and spent the prior 15 years as a brand executive for Estee Lauder Companies and Avon, Inc.  She redirected her career and is passionate about helping family caregivers and elders age with dignity.  As the Co-founder and President, Susan is responsible for day-to-day operations and marketing.  She also oversees business development for eCareDiary’s licensing services.

Larry Leister Chief Technology Officer

Larry Leister, Chief Technology Officer of, has over 20 years of experiences providing system consulting and support to both major corporations and startups. Specialties: Microsoft products, email system management, open source content management systems, web accessibility, server virtualization, accounting software, project management, voice over ip implementation/management, and vendor selection advisory services.

Meghana Giridhar Content Manager

Meghana Giridhar, BA in Economics and MBA in International Marketing & Finance, has wide experience in the fields of content management and research analysis. Meghana worked with a top-tier business school and a non-profit organization focusing on entrepreneurship development among students in India for 4 years before pursuing an MBA in Finance from UC Berkeley, CA. She has additional experience as a research analyst for a venture capital firm and a highly rated book on global brand management. She has also managed editorial content for online publications based in China and the UK.

Terri Seidman Director of Community Outreach

Terri Seidman addressed the needs of people living with diabetes for 18 years as Associate Director of Mission Delivery for the American Diabetes Association (ADA) of Western Pennsylvania.  Responsible for outreach, programming and advocacy at the ADA, Terri is a committed individual to improving the health and welfare of others.  She enjoys connecting people to services that will not only affect their quality of life, but that also affect their families and loved ones.  Terri graduated with a BS in Education and earned a MS in Community Health Education from Hunter College, School of Health Sciences in New York City. 

Matt Holbein Web/Graphic Designer

Matt Holbein received his BFA in Illustration from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2014. He joined the eCareDiary team shortly thereafter as a Web/Graphic Designer, and brings 6 years of design experience on projects ranging from university websites and national conferences to pop-up books about nature. He is excited to bring his love for design to eCareDiary and caregivers all over the country.

Lisa Smith Social Media Specialist

In her role as Social Media Specialist, Lisa oversees all social media for eCareDiary and client postings. She builds meaningful connections on a wide variety of social media platforms and engages eCareDiary’s audience with content, events, and community groups. She has 15 years of experience in the healthcare and financial services industries.  Lisa served as Nursing Manager for CynaMed Healthcare, a nurse staffing firm, where she managed client relations, hired and maintained nursing staff, credentialing and scheduling.  She is a Business Management graduate from the Bradford Business School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
