The Role of Bone Density in Fitness after 50

by Dr. Mat Parker, Successful Aging Expert
November 13, 2019

Question: Does bone density play a role in fitness after 50?

Answer:

Bone density does play a role in fitness....but not as much as you think. If you are someone with osteopenia or osteoporosis there is no better way to improve your bone density than strength exercise.  Some examples of strength exercises are body weight exercise, lifting some weights, or using some resistance bands for example.
