Are there Any Over-the-Counter Medications for Tinnitus?

by Glenn Schweitzer, Tinnitus Expert
August 05, 2019

Question: Are there any over-the-counter medications that work for tinnitus?

Answer: There are many over-the-counter medications and supplements that are promoted to work for tinnitus, but I haven't personally experienced any major benefits from any of them. I also haven't ever met anyone else who found that they worked well. But these meds and supplements are usually pretty safe, so the worst case scenario is often just wasted money.
